Thriller

This is a page dedicated to all the music I have written in the “Thriller” Genre. For now, I am including “Action” in here as well, since I have only ever done 1 action cue. Everything here has been written by me, and you will find a short description of the project next to the audio files.

Eat My Heart Out

Two men on the edges of society find romance in their shared doom, and fear of who they’ve become. Directed by Byrne Mazzella.

This was one of the most unique film’s I’ve had the pleasure of writing for, and it was a blast. A dark-romantic thriller, this film lead me to tapping into something romantic and emotional, while still being creepy in a subtle way. The blend of emotions was a fun challenge, and I believe I achieved it well. Written in 2024

Human Nature

A priest struggling with his faith makes rash decisions that change his life forever. Even a man devoted to a higher power cannot escape his human nature. Directed by Chris Chin.

This was my first project of 2024, and it was a really fun one. It challenged me to write music that had a religious feel. It was the first piece where I myself wrote and sang music on, which is something I rarely do as I do not claim to be a talented vocalist. Music written in 2024.

Fanatic

An obsessed fan of a sci-fi superhero franchise is corrupted by social media influencers into taking extreme action to save it. Written, Directed, and Produced by Will Borowsky. Music Written in 2023

Will reached out and he was the first person I worked with outside of college. A dark and sinister score with a lot of elements of super hero music like we hear in marvel; this is a personal favourite of mine.

Red Winter

This is the first real horror film I composed the score for. The film tells the story of a girl who lost her friend in an accident and develops amnesia. She later goes on a vacation with her friends where she discovers a strange killer is on the loose. Directed by Lolly McLellan.

This film uses a primarily traditional orchestral instruments. Strings, low brass, percussion, piano, choir, and some added synth layers as well as self-made sound effects all come together to create a tense and sinister score with some beautiful and heartwarming elements. Music written in 2022.

Golem

When two burglars enter a sleepy neighbourhood, they set an old man’s home in their sights. Unbeknownst to them, they’re about to unleash a force that’s just as ancient as it is deadly. Directed by Tyler Jennes.

This music is something I am still very happy with. Written in early 2021, this score is almost entirely string sextet and piano. This was the first piece written with a new batch of sample libraries that I was just dying to try out. I wanted to capture the sinister arch of the film while switching back and forth to a lighter, more bouncy theme. This excerpt is from a section of the film where off screen a robber is breaking into a secret room to unveil what is hidden behind the wall.
